Loan Package Fees and Terms

 

These professional package fees and term are for orders from Lenders, Escrow/Title Companies and Signing Services requiring a Notary Signing Agent. If you are a borrower/signer, your loan documents were shipped to you directly and you were told to find a notary on your own, please reference the general mobile notary rates.

 

IMPORTANT: Because each order is unique, fees may vary greatly and are negotiable much of the time. The following fees are a general guideline only and not a quote. Please contact me for a customized quote or to discuss your situation. The total fee for an average single loan with edocs is about $135.00 - $200.00, sometimes more. Single loan signings include up to 10 notarized signatures. Beyond 10, additional fees may apply.


No Show/No Sign and Canceled Appointments: If borrowers do not show up to their appointment or refuse to sign, you will be charged the travel and wait time rates for general notary service plus any printing fees (edoc fee). If you cancel the appointment less than 4 hours prior, a $40.00 cancellation fee shall apply.

 

Distance Calculations: All distances are calculated from approximately City Hall in California City, CA. They are not calculated by zip code. (Why not?)

 

Note about Document Readiness: Documents must be ready and sent to me (or be ready for pickup if local) at least 4 hours prior to the signing appointment, no exceptions. If your documents are not ready, the appointment may be rescheduled or canceled at my discretion. Documents that arrive late are subject to a $50.00 additional fee.

 

Payment Terms: All loan signing invoices are generally 5/10 Net 30. That means that invoices are expected to be paid in full within 30 days of the signing. If your payment is received within 10 days of the signing date (not the final settlement date), you may take a 5% discount off the total amount due.

Late invoices are subject to a 5% late fee, charged every 30 days until paid in full. I may require payment up front from some companies. If this is the case, I will let you know this before accepting the assignment, and the 5% discount will apply. Payments via Paypal are welcome.

Payment for my services is not contingent upon the closing or funding of any particular loan. In other words, if a loan is canceled or doesn't fund, I am still due any and all fees for the services I provide.

 

GLBA Compliance Note: Since January 1, 2008, all new/renewing California notaries are fingerprinted and must undergo a background check by the Federal Bureau of Investigation as well as the California Department of Justice prior to obtaining their commissions. (California Government Code section 8201.1) My current commission was issued on November 28, 2008, which means I am fully compliant with any background screenings you might require as part of your company's GLBA Compliance plan. However, if you prefer... I am also a Certified and Background Screened Signing Agent through the National Notary Association.


Bond and Insurance: I carry the state mandated $15,000 notary bond. I also carry $100,000 of Notary E&O Insurance.
