Traffic School Exams

Some county courts in California require that traffic school participants have their identities verified when they take their final exam. Those counties include both Kern and San Bernardino counties. If you take your course online, your traffic school will likely have you verify your identity online using your credit bureau record (Kern County only) or have you locate a notary public. If your case is in Los Angeles County, this requirement does not apply.

Generally speaking, the person taking the exam signs a statement that he/she was the person who took the exam. The person is then put under oath by the notary and swears or affirms that the statement they signed is true. Sometimes I must stay with you as you take the exam, sometimes not. It depends on the instructions from the traffic school.

If you need your final exam notarized/identify verified, we can arrange a time and place convenient to you. I can meet you at a public location (library, restaurant, hotel lobby, etc.) or at your home or office.  The oath and notarization will cost $10.00, plus any applicable travel and wait fees.
